Working With Families:
A Touchpoints Model Training

In this training, participants will develop skills and
expertise to:
  • Build powerful, positive relationships with families
  • Deepen understanding of the impact of development on behavior
  • Foster strong adult-child connections
The Touchpoints Model is based on Dr. T. Berry Brazelton’s pioneering
infant research and his 60+ years of working with parents and children.
A “touchpoint” is a predictable period in the early years of a child’s life
when the child will do something new (e.g. start walking), often
accompanied by regression in another area (e.g. stop sleeping through
the night). These “touchpoints” can often cause disruptions in the
family system.
