The Kids Initiative for Developmental Support (KIDS) started in 2013 and is a collaboration of citizens dedicated to ensuring that all Larimer County children’s healthy development (including social-emotional) is optimized by a coordinated system that supports:
Informed parents/caregivers
Universal standardized developmental screenings
Effective referrals
With backbone support provided jointly by ECCLC and the Larimer Department of Health and Environment, this community collaboration has developed a framework to ensure children are screening and referred. The collaboration is focusing on outreach and training to the groups identified within this framework.
