Understanding, Disrupting, and Dismantling the Preschool to Prison Pipeline

Early Childhood Council of Larimer County is excited to invite early childhood professionals, educators, and advocates to a half-day virtual symposium on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 8am-12pm. Themed “Understanding, Disrupting, and Dismantling the Preschool to Prison Pipeline,” the symposium will feature keynote speaker Dr. Rosemarie Allen and a Diversity Informed Tenets Workshop. The symposium will feature simultaneous interpretation through Language Justice. 

Here’s what you can expect for the day’s events:

  • 8-9 a.m. Welcome and update on local policy solutions for early childhood, Christina Taylor, CEO of Early Childhood Council of Larimer County
  • 9-11 a.m. Keynote on Understanding, Disrupting, and Dismantling the Preschool to Prison Pipeline, Dr. Rosemarie Allen
  • 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Virtual Introduction to Diversity Informed Tenets
  • 12 p.m.-1 p.m. BONUS: Child Maltreatment Prevention Presentation

Short breaks will be scattered throughout the morning. Attendees are eligible to receive a certificate of completion for up to 5 hours.
