New Leap Coalition Coordinator

“Greetings! My name is Liz Means, and I am very excited to start my journey as Leap Coalition Coordinator. I’m looking forward to learning from all of you and continuing to build on the great work Leap has been doing to strengthen and connect our county’s systems. I have a background in event planning, nonprofit communications and environmental advocacy. I care deeply about making a positive impact in my community through my work, and I can’t think of a better place to do that than here at ECCLC. Thank you for the warm welcome!”

Bonnie will be returning to her love of teaching at the new Compass Community Collaborative School. Thank you for all of your hard work this past year and for helping get Leap off it’s feet, Bonnie!

For ECE Providers

Time to apply for Colorado Shines Quality Improvement Grants!

Quality Improvement funds now available for the state fiscal year beginning July 1, 2018.  Most child care and preschool programs, including part-day programs, who serve children under the age of 5 years can be eligible for one of these opportunities.

There are two different opportunities to be eligible:

  • Programs with a Colorado Shines Level 2 or higher, and who have a CCAP fiscal agreement. Click the Read More button below for details. Click here for more information about CCCAP.
  • Programs who have never sought a higher rating can access a one-time Hardship Grant to work towards becoming a Level 2 and who are interested in learning more about becoming a Level 3-5 rated program. Click the Read More button below for details.

Informational opportunities are available for programs who are unfamiliar with these grants or who have questions.  A group informational event is scheduled on Monday, July 16th at the ECCLC.  Indicate your interest in this event or in receiving more information by responding to this quick survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/ECCLCGrant18
