Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center is seeking a full time Site Director for our Loveland location.  The Site Director is responsible for the overall management of the site, consistent with Colorado licensing requirements and implementation of policies and programs as determined by the Executive Director and Board of Directors of Teaching Tree.

The position will ensure our mission of providing quality and affordable early childhood care for families of all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.  We are seeking an individual who is energetic, organized, solution orientated, invested in developing their team of educators and possesses great written and verbal communication skills.  This person needs to be passionate about early childhood education and dedicated to the success of our young children.

Qualifications

Education and/or experience:  Director Certification as required by the State of Colorado.  Good interpersonal and leadership skills.  Knowledge of early childhood development.  Knowledge and ability to run a small non-profit child care center.  Candidate must be able to read and interpret government regulations.  Effectively communicate information to staff, parents, and children through written and verbal communication.  Ability to relate to diverse groups of people.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $45,000-$52,000

  • Review and evaluate facility activities to ensure conformance to state and local regulations.
  • Perform classroom teaching duties as needed
  • Manages ProCare and other software records
  • Maintain a safe environment based on safety standards set by the program
  • Some travel may be required
  • Reliable transportation is required

  • Ensures compliance with licensing, health, and fire regulations
  • Oversight of purchasing for the center
  • Maintains statistical information as required for grants and reports
  • Maintains data entry of registration and enrollment information on all children
  • Responsible for recruitment, hiring, supervision of all center staff in coordination with the  Executive Director
  • Conducts annual evaluations of all center staff
  • Schedules working hours for all center staff
  • Maintains and monitors staff files for current licensing
  • Responsible for daily communication and problem solving with staff
  • Builds positive relationships with staff
  • Oversight of all classrooms assuring policies are followed: state, health, fire and Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center
  • Review of weekly lesson plans to assure quality DAP activities
  • Supervises food program to ensure compliance with regulations
  • Help teachers implement strategies for behaviors and referrals to outside resources when needed
  • Supports and implements Pyramid, Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies Gold, ITERS/ECERS center wide
  • Conducts tours of the center and enrolls children
  • Plans and coordinates parent events
  • Provides resources and referrals to parents
  • Establishes and maintains a positive relationship with parents, problem solving when needed
  • Maintains billing for parent tuition, including billing and posting payments
  • Submits and reviews monthly bills for payment
  • Maintains child care assistance records and billing
  • Monitors account balances
  • Submits bills to appropriate grants
  •  Monitors staff hours, prepares payroll, pays federal employments taxes
  • Maintains flexible time off records earned by staff and distributes quarterly
  • Compiles bookkeeping and reports for bookkeeper
  • Ensures budget is followed
  • Supervises in house fund-raisers
  • Participates in agency fund-raising projects
  • Participates in community partnerships and activities
  • Represents Teaching Tree at community events
  • Provides supervision, support and evaluation for all volunteers  and interns
  • Participates in training, workshops, and classes to enhance ECE knowledge
  • Maintains credential on PDIS
  • Is trained in Pyramid, Teaching Strategies Gold, Creative Curriculum, CPR, First Aid, Standard Precautions, CIIS immunization course, Medication Administration
  • Assures building interior and exterior are in good repair and maintained
  • Oversees and follows up with janitorial, maintenance and other contracted workers as needed
