Dear Prospective Board Member,

We welcome your interest in the Early Childhood Council of Larimer County (ECCLC).  The ECCLC has been in existence since 1997, with the vision that all children in Larimer County will be valued, healthy and thriving.

The Early Childhood Council Board of Directors is fiscally and legally responsible for the governance of the organization.  A unique feature of ECCLC, however, is its Advisory Council. The Advisory Council, which is made up of community partners, meets monthly and serves in an advisory capacity to the ECCLC Board and Staff.

ECCLC’s mission is to bring together community partners to strengthen the early childhood system of services. The ECCLC provides:

  • Backbone support for multiple community initiatives
  • Coaching and resources to support quality child care programs
  • Professional development trainings and college scholarships for child care providers

In addition to our local efforts, the ECCLC is linked to statewide efforts to strengthen early childhood services in Colorado.  Through participation on various state task forces, we have a direct impact on statewide policy.
